 Our Congratulations!    

Our sincere congratulations to 25 graduates of   Nazarbayev University have been awarded the “Bolashak” scholarship. Among the recipients there are 19 graduates of Class 2017, 4 of Class 2016, and 2 of Class 2015.  Our talented alumni will continue their education  at top universities, including Duke, Oxford, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, University of Wisconsin-Madison etc., and represent NU as alumni ambassadors abroad. 

  Also we congratulate the members of “NU Arlans” team N.Assylbekuly,  Y.Zhuparbay,  S.Batyrov, Y.Zeinollauly, A.Mubarak  who became the winners of  the 2nd place at the Student Energy Challenge  competition. The event was organized by Shell Kazakhstan and KAZENERGY. "NU Arlans" received a prize of €5,000 and an  opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions.                                         

NU Alumni Reunion 2017

 
                                   
        We are glad to announce NU ALUMNI REUNION 2017 that will be held on November 4-5 at Nazarbayev University. All Alumni are welcome to join it!

         On November 4th you will attend official part to gather together with fellow alumni, listen to our great speakers from different areas of the industries, drink and eat while socialising and relax at the afterparty.
 On November 5th there will be Sport activities for you to remember the good old days at the University. Play football, basketball and table tennis! You are welcome to bring your family members to cheer you!

                   Professional development                                     
       In such fast changing and developing work environment, time is one of the important tools to use: do not waste it, learn a lot. The online courses and webinars are good way to develop your soft and hard skills.  In this issue we gathered a useful set of online courses from Coursera on professional development, including career planning, writing resumes, developing communication and entrepreneurial skills. CAC events

 On August 25  CAC organized the meeting with the KAIST representative Aldiyar Adishev, current MSc student at KAIST, South Korea. Aldiyar gave a presentation about KAIST and other Korean universities, told about the challenges of graduate programs, answered questions about scholarships, opportunities for further research activities, and shared his own experience of living in Korea. Review the presentation.                                                                  On August 31 we provided the  meeting with the  Kyung Hee Univeristy'  professors. This time the Dean of School of  Engineering of the University joined the session to talk about Master's and PhD programs, application process and answer to the questions related to study/live in South Korea.  Useful tips

          What should you be doing in your final year of university?

As you enter the final year at university it’s about the time to start thinking about future career plans. We have collected essential tips to help you with it.                                                                                                                                         Graduate application. The majority of graduate schemes will open applications between September and December. Apply as early as possible, as there can be tough competition for popular employers and sectors and many schemes will fill up quickly. Attend CAC sessions for those pursuing further education and make an appointment via CAC CareerNet to explore your options. Read more<<<
